No third-party cookies, tracking pixels, ad SDKs, or analytics platforms (no Google Analytics / Mixpanel / Sentry). One essential sign-in cookie, plus on-device browser storage to make the app work. None of it follows you across the web.
If you sign in, a single `billy_sid` session cookie keeps you logged in (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax). The SameSite=Lax attribute is also the cross-site-request-forgery protection — there is no separate CSRF cookie. If you never sign in, Billy sets no cookies at all.
Billy uses your browser’s localStorage / sessionStorage for your event list, saved menus & bills, language and currency preferences, in-progress scans, and which one-time notices you’ve dismissed. First-party, stays on your device, never shared. Clearing site data resets all of it.
We don’t show a cookie-consent banner because we don’t drop non-essential cookies that would require one. If that ever changes, we’ll add a proper consent mechanism first.
